Hey ya’ll!
My name is Sam, I’m 24 years old and I was born and raised in the Raleigh area of North Carolina. If I’m not working, I’m probably long boarding or playing with my dogs Goose and Pretzel. When I was 21, I met the love of my life (it’s a funny story, I’ll tell you about it one day when we meet) and his career landed us here in Clarksville just a few weeks before the pandemic hit.
I was so excited to move here because it was totally unexplored territory for us both and I’m always ready for a new adventure. About 6 months before we moved here, I knew I wanted to be a Realtor.
I grew up in a household where we were taught to take care of the people around us, in any way we can. I watched my mom juggle taking care of my brothers and I while starting her career as a Realtor in a brand new state, with no network, no income, but a strong desire to serve her community. When she was starting out, she brought my brothers and I with her to appointments and to the office so I got my toes dipped into the business at a young age. Over the years, we got to meet to so many people, make new family friends and got to dive deep into helping our community through real estate and non-profit opportunities that presented themselves through her job.
I always struggled on deciding on a career. when I was in college, I changed my major 3 times and honestly never felt like any of those choices were right for me. I had to do a lot of soul searching to really figure out where I felt I belonged. For me, the decision to become a Realtor was really based on the opportunities I have to get involved in my community and help others in any way I can whether it be to help them find a new home or just being a friend to lean on during a tough time. I watched the gratification my mom got from her career through new friendships and never ending opportunities for personal growth and truly feel like this is where I’m supposed to be.
